We have “trade shock”
AND we have hundreds of thousands of people who have unwillingly left the workforce.
These workforce-leavers go from producers to consumers of their family’s limited resources.
What is the cumulative effect of this mass departure?
Not just on the economy, but on individual families?
Family resources left little room for resilience before the pandemic.
It was tough before the trade shock.
It’s going to be tougher now.
Is there a bright side?
If so, it’s that we’re survivors.
It will be a tough winter but we’ll survive.
